Congratulations to Scotty Laughland for his Oct. 19th induction into the Windsor/Essex County Sports Hall of Fame. Some of his accomplishments are 46 300’s, 20 299’s and 19 800 series.

He won the 1985 Masters Olympic Championship where 18 other countries completed and in 1999 he won he U.S. National Senior Olympic Gold medal in doubles and a Silver medal in singles. At age 64 he won a title in the Michigan Majors where some professional compete. He also won a title in this same event in 1979. He’s the only bowler to have won 5 times in the American Bowling Congress (ABC) Senior’s Singles Championships in the 90’s. Scotty has made the first “All Star Team” 23 times in the Windsor Essex Kent County Bowling Association plus he’s done this 3 times in the Greater Detroit area Association. A super senior!
