Ed DeBlock inducted into Ontario Provincial HOF Print

Last Saturday (Oct. 2, 2004) Ed DeBlock was inducted into the Ontario Provincial Tenpin Bowling Association Hall Of Fame in the Distinguished Performance category. The ceremonies were held at the Clarion Hotel in downtown Niagara Falls. Ed is now one of 6 bowlers in the performance category.

Presently there are two bowlers from Oshawa, two from the Toronto area and now two from the Windsor area. There are now 16 individuals in the Meritorious Service category.

Ed presently has 6 Provincial titles, all in the scratch division. He currently has 3 Single’s titles, 2 Doubles titles, and 1 Team Event title in which he bowled a perfect game to help support the team efforts.

On the way to recording his 6 Provincial titles he won 3 consecutive titles in a row as well as winning 4 titles in 5 consecutive years.

Speaking of 3, Ed also has the Canadian Record for his 278 Triplicate he bowled at age 57. Congratulations Ed!
