Congratulations to Rick Vittone of Techumseh Ontario for winning this years 65th Storm Bowlers Journal Championship (Seniors Division), presented by the USBC. Rick won the Trophy and the $4,920.00 winners cheque. He also gets an additional bonus of $80 for shooting over 850. This now totals the $5,000.00 for first place!

Rick finished on top with a 915 four game series edging out the second and third place tie scores by just 4 pins. His games were 241, 216, 233 and 225.

Rick bowled in 3 different squads with the Senior singles being his second that day. He mentioned having spoke with Dan MacLelland during the move to his final pair of lanes, in the set, where Dan had just bowled and got a big tip from Dan on the required 2 and 1 move to keep his streak alive. He wanted me to make sure a BIG THANKS goes out to Danny Mac!.

He also finished in 6th place, cashing in the doubles bowling with Carl Kinyon from Lockport NY. They won $300.00. Carl shot 810 and Rick had an 837 for their 4 game set.

Rick also cashed in the Open division with another 837 for $110.00 additional pocket change.

In the USBC events Rick also cashed in all of his other events totaling another $252.00 but that was not the best part about the USBC session. As if all of the above was not enough, Rick also made a cool $3000.00 in Brackets thanks to a secret sponsor.

Rick said "It was a weekend to remember"

Even in light of all the success for the weekend Rick recalls his best part of the week end was to bowl doubles with his Brother from Oregon who drove 8 hours to get to the event.
