In 1860, while visiting the United States, the 19-year-old Prince of Wales bowled a few games at the Zimmerman House in Niagara Falls, N.Y. The event was widely reported as major news, and some papers featured a woodcut drawing of the royal kegler. The prince later became King Edward VII of Great Britain.
