300 wins Mystery Game! Print E-mail
Congratulations to John Armstrong for bowling his first ever 300 game along with his highest series of 794. John started with a nice 266 and then followed up with his 300 in the second game. One of the interesting things about that evening (April 14th) is that John won the Mystery Game with his perfect game. How often have you seen or heard about that? Waydago John!

ABC Chevrons
ABC Tournament participation chevrons were first awarded at the 1949 event in Atlantic City. The original idea had been to honor Peter Howley for bowling in every ABC up to that time — 46 in all. That was changed, and chevrons were issued to all those who had competed in 25 or more tournaments — 113 men in all. As for Howley, though he lived until 1958, he never again bowled in the ABC.
