Good friend Dave Rose looses a long time battle with illness and dies on Saturday Feb. 12, 2005. He will be greatly missed in the Bowling community and by his many good friends. Dave along with his father Archie founded the Rose Bowl, a 50 lane centre, back in 1959. From that day forward he never stopped promoting the Sport of Bowling.

If it were to bring in the bowlers from schools by the bus load to his center or to bring the fans by the bus loads to see the PBA perform live all week in the PBA Molson's Masters, he did all he could to support Windsor Bowling.

His most recent contribution to the city just this last summer was to completely renovate his 50 lane center with Top Notch, state of the art, Brunswick synthetic lanes surfaces and approaches costing nearly $700,000.00.

So long to a good friend and a great ambassador to the sport we all love and enjoy. We'll miss you Dave and all the good times we've had on the lanes.
